It’s indeed a New Season and It’s a New Day.
I woke up this first day of April at 4am for some reason – I just couldn’t continue sleeping. So I laid there pondering on the fact that it was a New Month and a New Quarter for that matter.
Like I usually do, I wanted a word from God about this month and God dropped a phrase into my heart:
“A Time of Refreshing”.
You know those times when you felt like you just couldn’t take one more step. You’re just plain fed up of trying and trying. You feel like why do I even have to make an effort for a new month and a new quarter? All the efforts I made in the last quarter didn’t bring anything interesting my way!
And them you remain in sulking mode and refuse to keep trying.
You see, I’m an optimist by nature and so anytime I’m in that situation where I just want to quit, the optimist in me says:
“How do you know your breakthrough isn’t just right around the corner?”
And with that in mind, I grudgingly get up and keep moving again. I don’t even bother to try to take giant steps, baby steps are just fine – as long as I’m moving in the right direction.
Today, I looked around our cyberspace for Inspiration on Persistence, and I came up with a few of the numerous quotes out there.
As long as we are persistent in our pursuit of our deepest destiny, we will continue to grow. We cannot choose the day or time when we will fully bloom. It happens in its own time. – Denis Waitley
“You never know what’s around the corner. It could be everything. Or it could be nothing. You keep putting one foot in front of the other, and then one day you look back and you’ve climbed a mountain.”
― Tom Hiddleston“Don’t ever give up.
Don’t ever give in.
Don’t ever stop trying.
Don’t ever sell out.
And if you find yourself succumbing to one of the above for a brief moment,
pick yourself up, brush yourself off, whisper a prayer, and start where you left off.
But never, ever, ever give up.”
